"You know what, I think that I win when you win" Obama said in a speech when referring to the difficulties of the health care reform. It's the basic principle of looking for the Pareto alternative, the one that will take you and the other to a win-win position, better off than the actual one.
Wouldn't it be easier if that was the deal with all politicians, rather than constantly trying to divide people into two different poles? Is it really impossible to look for a common ground? This guy works as much as one would expect from a president.... it would be interesting to see what other fellow pressidents/current or past, have done/did in a single year.
Effort, work and common sense, it's all you need from a leader. I can only thing of one person that has demostrated more in one year, a bigger leader, capable of igniting what it takes to perform at the highest level ever seen in history: Josep Guardiola, FC Barcelona's coach. It's no exageration when even top rival Real Madrid fans, gurus from the management area use him as an example of what great leaders must do to achieve good results in any organization. Even polititians in Catalunya wish they had what he has.
In anycase, both Barack Obama and Josep Guardiola give example of how passions drives a man's work to reach unlimited results. A clear case of emmergence in a collective complex system, where what matters is the team result. It's not about me, it's about you!
